I have sent you a note about a page you startedHello, Colonies Chris. Thank you for your work on Typhoon Ida (1966). User:Usernamekiran, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with —usernamekiran (talk) 10:02, 28 October 2022 (UTC) Your bot is playing havoc with our chess articlesI don't mind removing links to countries and well known cities, but within WP:CHESS it is normal to use the fraction "½" to indicate a half-point, not 1⁄2. See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chess#Half_points. Chess is scored as one point for a win and a half-point for a draw, so somebody's tournament score might be quoted as 5½/8 or similar. 51⁄2/8 just looks ugly. Both of the "½" change and the in --> on changes are part of the 'General fixes' built in to AWB, which are considered to be improvements that are applied to any article, rather than anything I've specifically coded. The second change, on--> in, is clearly an error in this context and I ought to have spotted it before saving the changes - I'll check more closely for this, and report it to AWB as an error. Since it is clear from the link you provided that chess-related articles should be an exception to the automatic conversion to use the {{frac}} template, I'll switch off those changes for the time being, and raise it with AWB Support to see if it can automatically bypass this change in chess-related articles. I'll go back over those articles later today and revert {{frac}} to ½. Colonies Chris (talk) 09:40, 1 November 2022 (UTC) All ½s now reinstated.
