Good luck! [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 01:54, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC) Checking inHey Cmapm, just checking in to say hello. I hope all is going well with you. Thank you again for all your help with the gymnastics articles and all the support on Wiki! I was stunned to read, on your user page, that there aren't many articles about gymnastics in the Russian Wiki! What a shame, since it's been such an important sport for so many years. :( Have a great weekend! Namaste Mademoiselle Sabina 20:40, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey, it's great to see you back from the Wikibreak!!! I was a little confused with an update to your User Page: ...Treat me with condescension and I won't. If this concerns my message above, that was very difficult for me indeed: learning to solve the cube took more than a month... If this concerns some of my other edits, perhaps, sometimes I was condescent to you, but I didn't and don't realize that! Please, say, where that was?! The thing I fear the most in my life since I met you is that one day I'll not see your edits any more. They are the only thin thread, which connects me to you, and I can't imagine my life without that. Cmapm 10:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
DisappointedHey Cmapm, As always, I appreciate your friendship and support. I have to say, though...I am rather sad to read your POV about love. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and I respect that, and I respect your right to say what you will here on your page. I'm not attacking you. I'm just saying I strongly, vehemently disagree with it. For my piece...I happen to be straight, but as far as I'm concerned, love knows no boundaries of gender, and it's not for me to judge or condemn. If I did, well, I'd be hurting a lot of friends and relatives I care very deeply about. Again, please don't think I'm mad or I'm judging or attacking you. I just...found that statement very hurtful and I felt I had to speak up about it. namaste, Mademoiselle Sabina 15:52, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Maria Gorokhovskaya.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Maria Gorokhovskaya.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 20:39, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Missing wikipediansHello, and where is written, that if a user has less than 500 edits, one should not be listed? Cmapm 01:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your input here!Thank you for the help with this article! Your recent edits were particularly nice! Cmapm 20:14, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions, especially the ones relating to Soviet and or socialist topics of all kinds.
Given your self-proclamation as coming from the Soviet Union and the flag on your main page I think we are very much tuned to the same wavelength !
AstapovoHi, Do you have any knowledge about the place Astapovo. I've just created this tiny article as a begining. As this is the dath place of Leo Tolstoy, it could be of interest if someone expand it. Most of the info available about this place seems in Russian. I searched and there is no catogery called 'Russian Wikipedians', so it was difficult to find someone...At the end i got you from the edits on the USSR article. :) regards, Pratheepps 13:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
The gymnast images.A long time ago, you uploaded a series of images with the following permissions: User:Cmapm/gymnast. Do you understand the GFDL or the Creative Commons Licenses better now in order to ask again about a free license? If you do not, I can explain the difference between {{attribution}}, {{GFDL}}, and {{cc-by-sa-2.5}}. // Kevin Breitenstein 05:55, 21 June 2006 (UTC) Samntha SmithI'm glad you're still keeping an eye on the Samntha Smith page. It was nice to see your latest book cover addition. It's also on my permanent watch list. Denni ☯ 23:26, 28 June 2006 (UTC) Teófilo StevensonWow! I never expected someone to dig up a citation to a random quote so quickly. Thanks! I answered your comments on the discussion page, byut you have not responded. I don't want to leave it at that if we can find a way to work to improve the essay. I tried to write to your email address, i.e., in a more private way, but that seems not to be available. If we can communicate in some other way, I would be happy to do so. I hope you come to see that I am trying to give an accurate picture, and I have no other agenda than that. I do social science, I am not a politico. I also mentioned that I can supply quite a bit of data that might make a useful reference for the discussion, and then readers would see why there was a puzzle to solve. Two things that would be helpful, I think, are annual figures for life expectancy, separately for males and females; and annual figures on the infant mortality rates. Here are the infant mortality figures. If you are interested in the life expectancy figures, let me know and I will post that information here also. As I mentioned in my note in the Discussion, all of the initial focus of those who were proclaiming a health crisis in the Soviet Union was on the changes in infant mortality from 1970-74. At the time they were writing about this in 1980, Goskomstat had already stopped publishing the figures for years after 1974. Later, as I mentioned, the publication of detailed figures resumed after 1986 (and glasnost'), and so the entire series of figures became available as I report it to you here. Thank you for your kind attention to my messages.--Mack2 20:26, 11 July 2006 (UTC) Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), USSR (from Goskomstat, Naselenie SSSR 1988: Statisticheskii ezhegodnik (Moscow: Finansy i statistika, 1989), and Goskomstat, Demograficheskii ezhegodnik 1990 (Moscow: Finansy i statistika, 1990).) I answered there and will address the issue in due course.--Mack2 14:08, 12 July 2006 (UTC) E-Mail conversationDear Cmapm, I hope your Wikibreak will soon be over. Being a registered user of WP for less than four weeks, I now already for the first time experienced the immense "stress" WP can generate when you are confronted with small-minded people that are (obviously for ideological reasons) unable of even a simple compromise and risk a childish editing war instead. In the end, I have given up because I realised that is was meaningless to argue any longer. (The subject, by the way, was originally the silly term "Goulash communism" and finally only a simple year date.) Well, I'm afraid I failed to "keep my feelings and emotions off from the Wikipedia"... Anyway, I wanted to ask you if your offer of a "frank e-mail conversation" as stated on your user page is still valid. If so, I would like to come back to it sometime. Yours, --Elsmlie 18:19, 27 July 2006 (UTC) Hello, could you please check this article? It is presumed that the only children railroad is in Minsk, whereas there are others in such Soviet towns as Yaroslavl. Most of these are derelict now, is it possible that Minsk Children Railroad is the only one that still functions as was intended? --Ghirla -трёп- 09:31, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

RuskyI saw your deletion from List of ethnic slurs. However the entry had only been there a month.[1]. We removed all of the unsourced entries a couple of months ago, but of course they creep back in. Thanks for helping. Cheers, -Will Beback · † · 19:14, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Did you know?--GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 17:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC) Happy New Year!Pavel Molchanov on DYK— ERcheck (talk) 13:32, 4 January 2007 (UTC) DYK--savid@n 19:00, 6 January 2007 (UTC) GREWell, I think GSE --> GRE is not much more than a name change. I didn't check, but I am willing to bet the same people are doing it, in the very same building. They kept many (too many!) old articles, added some new ones, employed a new typesetting technique and that's it. I think the same story with "Советский Энциклопедический Словарь" which is now called "Российский Энциклопедический Словарь". I would vote for incorporation of GRE into GSE or the other way around (probably the latter is better, actually). In the meantime, I say we should get rid of the red links.
