Rebecca and RowenaHi Ceplm and thank you for your message on my talk page. I didn't 'kill' the article and had no intention to dishearten you, I just asked if you could supply more references as per notability of books guidelines. I hope that you will do this and then resubmit. Any book by Thackeray is, due to the reputation of the author, notable but we also have a requirement for references for all articles on Wikipedia and a link to the text itself does not suffice. It would be really helpful to know more – just a sentence or two with a source or two to make the article useful to people. For instance, you could add that it was written under his pseudonym Michael Angelo Titmarsh; you could tell us why he wrote it and describe its critical reception – Trollope is said to have admired it. This source might be useful [1] (Thackerary's parody is mentioned near the end of the article, in not very favourable terms). I would also have thought that some print versions of the novella would be quite likely to have a scholarly foreword that would provide just a bit more context. I think your judgement of the volunteers at Wikipedia is a little harsh – but it would be good if you could join us and help improve the balance of articles on Wikipedia. Many thanks and do get in touch if you'd like any assistance from me. Libby norman (talk) 08:33, 4 August 2014 (UTC) Draft:Rebecca and Rowena concernHi there, I'm HasteurBot.
