Sources for Preacher's Daughter

Hi CatchMe, thanks for reverting my edit in Preacher's Daughter, I was unaware Far Out was in that list of unreliable sources in music. For the "Ptolemaea" source I found the Paste review and the Billboard article as replacements, rewriting my edit as: While a distorsioned male voice says "gave you, need you, love you", the character begs to "stop", as the song concludes with a spoken word outro where the voice utters minister-like incantations to the Daughters of Cain, their "whore" mothers, and their children.

About a better source for "August Underground" being titled after the film, I only found the Still Magazine review but I'm now unsure to use it as you deleted from the article. (If you think it's unreliable to use it here also you can let me know. :) )

Aside from that, I found this Rolling Stone interview where Ethel reveals plans of working on an EP of the character's school years and I think we can mention it in the "Cinematic Universe" paragraph, though I don't see to mention the EP in the article's lead section as I see it as a minor release regarding the future plans related to Preacher's Daughter.

Also, I want to congrat you for dedication with this and the other Ethel Cain articles, hope you get another good article with Preacher's Daughter. PS: I feel that the "Music and style" section can be expanded to talk about the music genres of the other songs from the album as it only talks about three songs only. I've been looking the album review sources that are already in the article and, from what I see, they have enough info we can add for most of the songs. I can help with redacting, and you can check if everything's alright with the info I want to add. :) GiankM. M (talk) 20:27, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

Hi @GiankM. M thanks for reaching out and the kind words! Feel free to add any information with the appropiate sources. About the Still Listening Magazine, it isn't in WP:RSMUSIC or any list of reliable sources (as far as I know) so a GAN reviewer could bring a discussion of how it is reliable, that's why I removed it. I have plans of nominating the article for FAC in the future but of course it should pass this current nomination and more work would be needed then. Any contribution is welcome!! :) CatchMe (talk · contribs) 15:22, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
Hi, thank you for your answer. I'll be adding my contributions soon. :D GiankM. M (talk) 12:37, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

WikiCup 2025 May newsletter

The second round of the 2025 WikiCup ended on 28 April at 23:59 UTC. To reiterate what we said in the previous newsletter, we are no longer disqualifying contestants based on how many points (now known as round points) they received. Instead, the contestants with the highest round-point totals now receive tournament points at the end of each round. These tournament points are carried over between rounds, and can only be earned if a competitor is among the top 16 round-point scorers at the end of each round. This table shows all competitors who have received tournament points so far. Everyone who competed in round 2 will advance to round 3 unless they have withdrawn or been banned.

Round 2 was quite competitive. Four contestants scored more than 1,000 round points, and eight scored more than 500 points (including one who has withdrawn). The following competitors scored at least 800 points:

In addition, we would like to recognize Generalissima (submissions) for her efforts; she scored 801 round points but withdrew before the end of the round.

The full scores for round 2 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 13 featured articles, 20 featured lists, 4 featured-topic articles, 138 good articles, 7 good-topic articles, and more than 100 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 19 In the News articles, and they have conducted nearly 300 reviews.

Remember that any content promoted after 28 April but before the start of Round 3 can be claimed in Round 3. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! Warning

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Easy Lover (Miley Cyrus song). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement. Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. As I stated, Miley Cyrus once referred the song as a single, and furthermore I provided reliable sources related to it, but you have ignored all of them. Warning other users, your opponents, just to exaggerate their edit as wrong edit, seems not proper on Wikipedia. Anyway, I opened a discussion on its talk page. Camilasdandelions (talk!) 05:08, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

@Camilasdandelions: Please refrain from sending these messages in my talk page, as it is a crude copy of the warning I sent to yours minutes ago. You still don't know what a warning template is, days after you confused it with a copyedit. Concerning the additional text, no reliable sources were provided and no user is my "opponent" so I don't know what you're talking about. Wikipedia is for factual information, not opinions.
