I am at the main Buffalo & Erie County Public Library. The open stacks have phone books going back to 1990-91. I put in a closed stack request for 87, 88 and 89 in hopes that they may have zip code maps. If not, we can put in a call to the Eggertsville Snyder branch. According to the 1988-89 Talking Phone Book (page 50), Eggertsville and Snyder have both been a part of 14226 for at least twenty years. Zip codes came into being in the 1960s. I wonder if they ever had separate zip codes. I don't have time to research that now. I would agree if I thought that the wiki-strife would end with any of the other 5 solutions. I can't see that happening, as (understandably) the Irish are somewhat distrustful of any British national and their motives and many (most?) will always prefer the ROI over the Island for Ireland, while those in the North will always prefer the Island to take precedence over the Country, and will point to things like everyone referring to outgoing GAA Football Champion Tyrone as the champion for "Ireland" - and meaning the Island, not the Ireland the Republic. A disambig will serve only to change the point of anger, as the talk page there is destined to go up in flames, while the article merger simply isn't fair to those in the North. The other 3 options are just rearranging or renaming of the status quo. I don't see the wiki-fighting getting better, so I based my vote on what I believed was the best for the readers of the Encyclopedia.--CastAStone/^{/₵₳$↑₳₴₮ʘ№€} 20:58, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the status quo is that it offers no hope. I don't think that a disambig would simply shift the anger. The problem is the use of RoI as the article title for the State. Pam Beesly is the Receptionist for the office, she is not a member of sales. And Erin Hannon is not one of the primary reccuring characters so she should not be on there for receptionist. So please don't change it.

Hey, I think you misread the article regarding AI's retirement plan. Your version, "Stephen A. Smith reported that Iverson plans to retire should no team show an interest in him" seems to imply that his retirement is conditional on Iverson's future inability to draw interest from a team. I don't see anything in the AP article or the stephena.com post to indicate that the retirement is anything but a certainty, especially since Iverson's framing the decision as more about family than anything basketball-related. Also, I don't think it's accurate to say Smith "reported" Iverson's plan, since he seems to be publishing/relaying the Iverson statement, and Smith doesn't seem to have had any input. --Mosmof (talk) 05:55, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
