Hey, I just wanted to bring up your closures at Talk:Disney Channel (United Kingdom and Ireland)#Requested move 13 December 2024 and Talk:Disney XD (United Kingdom and Ireland)#Requested move 13 December 2024; these probably should've been relisted to allow for further discussion.

In your closing comments, you cite "clear support". However, if you look at the rationale, you'll see that the nominator pinged another editor, specifically asking for the participation of somebody whom they knew would support their request based on their participation in a previous RM. This is a textbook case of WP:CANVASSING. Discounting that editor's canvassed participation, the request had only one other participant expressing support, and another one expressing oppose, so no consensus yet. Fine, but please phrase your wording correctly. The article itself states that the figures are taken from Indian government (and Pakistan's hadn't responded), so it is pretty straightforward and unbiased on the reporter's part. Sorry @Ivanvector: I vehemently disagree with this block. My last edit on that article was on 27 June 2025. I kept myself from editing it, pending discussion, for 20 days. Koshuri, Wareon, Azuredivay had at least 15 reverts in the intervening time was faced no blocks. And even my most recent revert was clearly aimed at the misuse of edit summary, and gave the editor full ability to revert me as long as they use a correct summary. Yes, and the page was fully protected in response to that edit war, following which The Bushranger imposed a "do not restore edits challenged by reversion" sanction on the article. I do not care about the prior edits by other users - your reversion today violated the sanction, and now you are blocked from the article. I restored to a revision that matched what Bushranger had protected but including subsequent constructive edits, excluding Rfakjunkie who was obviously canvassed and your and Wareon's edit warring over it. Discussion will determine the addition or removal of the disputed content, and your block does not prevent you participating in it, but please save your aspersions and personal attacks about other editors. Thank you @Ivanvector for your reply. But can you please tell me where exactly am I supposed to raise genuine concerns regarding user conduct? When I open a thread at ANI, I am told that this is a content dispute, and should be discussed at talk page. When I comment at talk page, I am reverted. I don't usually edit IPA/PIA (whatever) space, with the vast majority of my edits coming from non-administrative projectspace. But, it seems like I'm caught into some kind of WP:BURO black hole.
As for The Bushranger's imposed sanctions, I was really unaware of that. I saw the edit summary in watchlist, and hit undo. I genuinely apologise for violating the sanction, and I assure you that this course of action will not be repeated from my side. Please do consider it as a unblock request. I'll unblock, I've protected the page anyway so blocking from it serves no purpose. Please try to separate conduct concerns from the content discussion - article talk pages are supposed to be for discussing improvements to the article, not for discussing the behaviour of editors you disagree with. See Graham's hierarchy (also repeated at WP:NEGOTIATE but the image in the article is better) - when you're making a good argument in a content discussion you'll stay in the pyramid at counterargument or higher, whereas when you're making references to other editors' disciplinary sanctions then you're all the way down in ad hominem and not really addressing content at all, and that just leads your opponents to respond in kind, and then fights break out. Also see poisoning the well. ANI would be the place to bring up patterns of misconduct, but if admins there see that you're only bringing up misconduct because you're in an argument with someone over content you disagree on, they're going to shut that down and tell you to work it out on the talk page or through dispute resolution, because ANI does not resolve content debates. And, especially in topics related to Southeast Asian military history and politics, there's a trend of editors running to noticeboards to get their opponents blocked instead of making any genuine effort to work out content disagreements at all, and it's exhausting to deal with. I don't know which post you're referring to but that's my guess.

My suggestion is to try writing your comment again (I think you had a decent point about the handling of costs in other astronauts' articles) but don't mention any other editor at all unless you're agreeing with or refuting something specific that they said on that page. And I can't tell you not to revert in general but maybe try not reverting at all, unless you're reverting clear vandalism. I edit (or at least try to edit) for the betterment of Wikipedia because I love this site, I don't have any particular allegiance or motive other than that. I have never been blocked before in my 6.75 years and 23k edits. It may just have been a 24-hour long p-block, but it still was killing me inside. I felt as if I'm harming the site and the thought of retiring crossed my mind several times. I assure you that I will follow your advice and try to be a productive editor. FYI, the bot made some strange additional changes when doing its Implementing behavior change for {{PresFoot}}, compliance with MOS:CHRONO task. It removed an unrelated table ending and added some numbers which don't seem to be related to the article. @Gamapamani: Thanks for pointing this out. It was because of a stray {{ in the table row of "William 'Vic' Ingram". (I fixed it with this edit.)
The code matches each {{ with }}. Since it did not find a matching }}, an error occurred. The numbers at the end are the exact character number where the error occured.

At Travis County, Texas, during this edit, two refs were left incomplete. In both cases, the ref title had a {{!}}, and everything after the }} was removed. See this diff where I fixed it.
