I don't bother much with Wikipedia these days because I find that the project sells western talking points and I have seen that those to resist the orthodoxy are frequently ganged up on by partisan editors who have more influence. I only logged on to look for something so I can do some onward reading (i.e. use Wikipedia as lead, go to sources, and navigate from there), and it seems that a Sunday Times article I was looking for to cite in an online debate had "vanished"!! Along with the whole Yugoslavia paragraph. I have restored it for multiple reasons: first, many editors contributed to it. Second, there was no discussion or consensus about blanking such a huge part. Third, the comment in your summary is neither corroborated by what was on display and nor does it justify the mass removal. On another note, I am still looking for the information that someone, maybe you as I haven't looked, removed either from this article or elsewhere in which Bill Clinton confessed in 2014 that while the US held itself up as the White Knight of the Bosnian conflict, that US forces were quietly training the ARBiH (Muslim forces) in the 1992-1995 period, just perpetuating the war, not "extinguishing" it. Now in fairness, I see there are one or two dead links, and it may be so that the passage needed editing which I have no problem with. But let us not ignore the elephant in the room here! I know from the rest of your edits on subjects like Russia for example, that your aim is to conceal western involvement in affairs where mainstream media put out that the conflict is purely borne out of local activities. I can argue until the cows come home why the "non-reliable" sources are more truthful than the "reliable" sources, but this is no one-man mission to tip the balance. What you cannot argue with is the fact that very often, a "reliable" source will blurt the quiet but out loud when seeking that handgrip to bridge the disconnect between selling point 1 and selling point 2. Another word of advice for you if you derive your truth from mainstream media, if a word is in 'scare quotes', it is so for one of two reasons: either it is NOT the case, or it quotes a body that it personally opposes, in which case the scare quote is wrong because the speaker is right. One last trick: you can quickly learn when something is a clickbait headline when scroll straight to the bottom and read the final two or three sentences. So often, they make a little disclosure which re-spins the whole narrative of the rest of the report. Edit it again by all means. The dead links need to go or be re-tagged, but I kindly ask you not to throw the baby out with the bathwater!! --Vrhunski (talk) 12:33, 7 May 2025 (UTC) Category:Railways in the Cook Islands has been nominated for discussion![]() Category:Railways in the Cook Islands has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming.
