Does anyone know if there is a way to use the {{#if}} to hide table cells by default and then add then back with a value.
NHL team rostersPlease, don't add UFA & RFA to the templates. Those players don't become free-agents until July 1. GoodDay (talk) 15:29, 5 June 2012 (UTC) Adding minor league free agentsThere is no need to add the minor league free agents to the NHL rosters. These players should be listed in the AHL team roster that they played for in the previous year. It is incomplete to list ONLY the free agents in the NHL roster and not all the other dozens of players that are under contract, and that would result in a huge and uninformative roster page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FlameMoth (talk • contribs) 11:54, 9 July 2012 (UTC) Free agentsI understand the difference between NHL and AHL signings. Although they have NHL contracts, the players you are adding are almost definitely going to remain in the AHL except in the case of emergency callups. My point is that the pages you are editing are roster pages, not lists of free agents or lists of contracts. I know you referenced a list of free agents, but that doesn't mean that's the information that should be posted on a roster page. It should reflect the roster of players that play for that team. During the summer, there is no official roster because there are no games being played, so we use our best guess based on previous years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FlameMoth (talk • contribs) 22:24, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

Please do not place or replace any non-free images to any pages except for actual articles, as you did with the NHL navigational boxes. Such use is a clear violation of point number 9 of our policy concerning the use of non-free images. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:54, 5 October 2012 (UTC) 1970'sit's 1970s, not 1970's, see 1970s. Frietjes (talk) 17:15, 14 October 2012 (UTC) Boston Bruins Regular Season ResultsI don't know what exactly happened, but the color for all of the games in the results section of the 2012-13 Boston Bruins season are now black and most of the text is unreadable, at least on my computer. If you are not already aware of this, could you please look into this? Thank you. 98.179.165.213 (talk) 16:59, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
I put the Bruins back to what it was, or a version similar to it. I have been working on a request for the WikiProject to try to update their standards for formatting but it falls on deaf ears. B2Project(Talk) 05:11, 3 February 2013 (UTC) Game logHi, I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to explain some of the changes made to this game log. I understand that the color changes were made to match the templates, but why was the game log format changed? Is this meant to be some sort of new WT:Hockey consensus that was reached? And, if so, why has it not been implemented on other game logs? (Although I realize my saying that could be detrimental to my own cause as I prefer the old format.) Please advise. –RedSoxFan274 (talk~contribs)' 05:21, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
I was digging around the other templates from the MLB and NFL and found out they have a template for game logs so I tested one out and came up with a rough draft to try to take to WP:HOCKEY. Would you mind looking at it if you and give me any feedback so maybe we can try to get a format generated using a template to ensure it stays uniform? Try them out and see if there is anything to that doesn't work. B2Project(Talk) 07:08, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I'm wondering why you decided to move away from the colour red to purple for losses in the game log. Did anyone approve this change? It's always been red and should remain as such. Purple is way too busy on the eye. Please refrain from using that colour moving forward. gmmtl 23:40, 12 February 2013 Joensuu, Strait & UllstromThese three players are on Injured Reserve. The last game's line up. As you know, only 20 players & 3 scratches are allow (23-man roster and all) and those three do not appear on the game roster. The Isles website is not a reliable source for listing captains & alternates nor players on injured reserve. [1] Tim Thomas is on the suspended list, so I do not know how that applies to WP. Raul17 (talk) 22:43, 1 April 2013 (UTC) Your recent edit to Ron Duguay, while it improved the formatting of the stats table, also removed data, specifically the playoff stats when he played for Sudbury. You didn't use an edit summary, so not sure what you're using for a source, but looking at his NHL.com profile you'll see the stats. Echoedmyron (talk) 12:31, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Feel free to change formatting, etc of the text or the reference, but I don't think it should say that Kennedy or his rights went to CBJ. --After Midnight 0001 10:43, 1 July 2013 (UTC) Free Agents LostHi, about Reese, Ph. Dupuis and Kolarik, ok they had sign for Europe/KHL in June, but tecnically they are lost for the 2013-14 season, not the 2012-13. Otherwise it's seem that they had acquire and lost an FA in the same season. Best Regards. Giskard (talk) 14:18, 8 July 2013 (UTC) MLB standings templatesI noticed that you created Template:1994 NL Wild Card standings using Template:MLB standings. In the discussion we had regarding the creation of Template:MLB standings, we had agreed there wasn't much point in changing the standings for previous years, and so I only implemented support for the current wild-card format. Thus using this template for seasons prior to 2012 yields inaccurate wild-card standings. Is there a specific reason why you are using the template for earlier seasons? isaacl (talk) 04:24, 29 September 2013 (UTC) Was going through the Pirates losing seasons and saw it was missing. No big deal, kinda figured it out when I was there was no other ones created. Were they created and deleted or never used? If you or someone can delete them I'd appreciate it. –B2Project(Talk) 04:27, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

I saw that you were the one who added the full season game log back in November, 2014. I was just wondering if there was a shortcut (i.e. copy and paste method) for that or you actually typed it all in by hand? Thanx for your hard work!!! Jdavi333 (talk) 03:49, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Please participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. . Right now this links to bandy, which is quite ridiculous if you ask me. Hockey on ice is ice hockey, and the redirect should justifiably go to that page. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:23, 23 May 2016 (UTC) MLB templatesThe changes you are making to the standings template are causing issues because the New York Giants in the pre-1958 templates is now linking to the football team instead of the baseball team. I cant figure out how to add a dab link in what you have done so please figure out out to fix it. Spanneraol (talk) 02:40, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

NHL team's season page formattingThere is currently a discussion going on WP:ICEHOCKEY about the current (or now former) transactions format on the pages. Seeing as how you created possibly the best example so far back in 2013 for the Penguins, I would like to hear your input on a potential new format I am proposing similar to what you created back in 2013. It would maintain the format as is used in the free agency acquisitions and departures however it would include all acquisitions and departures (omitting trades) while simply adding another row specifying the action in which they joined or left the team. I would also like to change the contract details to specify the average annual value of the contract other than the total salary of the contract which is not relative to the annual average value do to bonuses and other details. I will be implementing my proposed design on the 2018-19 Columbus Blue Jackets season page and will notify you when I have completed to gather your thoughts. Thank you. Nanerz (talk) 05:31, 6 October 2018 (UTC) I have now edited my User:Nanerz page to include my proposed design.
