ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, AxG. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 23rd National Television Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daniel Osbourne (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Plus the latest technology upgrades, tools and news.
Notable missing articles.
In deciding to de-sysop an admin for efforts to evade discussion and review of paid edits made on behalf of a PR firm, Arbitration Committee doesn't significantly change the rules around paid editing, and leaves it up to the community whether to apply special restrictions to administrators.

Today's organization name is "Bosnian-Herzegovinian Radio Television", from there and abbreviation "BHRT". On Wikipedia on Bosnian, Serbian and Serbo-Croatian language article it's so called. Earlier name "Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina", before that "Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina". --SrpskiAnonimac (talk) 15:06, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@SrpskiAnonimac: Wikipedia's policy is to use common names, which is not always that of what the company wants to be called. Compare "Radio and Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina" (5,660) to "Bosnian-Herzegovinian Radio Television" (69). -- AxG /   15:15, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
