Edit requestI wanted to let you know that another editor move your edit semiprotected request from Talk:Prishtina to Talk:Pristina--almost no one will actually look at the request over on the redirect page. I've explain on Talk:Pristina why your rationale isn't a relevant one here on WP, but that you may be able to advance a discussion about the issue as long as you first read up on our guidelines about how we name such places/articles. As you continue that discussion, however, I do want to inform you that Pristina falls under what are called general sanctions--specifically the sanctions found at [[1]]. While you can read the long painful details if you like, the quick summary is that because of the obviously highly contentious nature of articles on Balkans related subjects, along with past bad behavior by a large number of editors, you have to be extra nice on articles in that topic area and if you're not, you can face sanctions from any uninvolved editor. Note that there has been nothing wrong with your comments so far, but I just wanted you to be aware before you get caught up in the issue unintentionally. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:13, 11 April 2011 (UTC) Ways to improve Roman Period Sites in KosovoHi, I'm Howicus. Atdheu, thanks for creating Roman Period Sites in Kosovo! I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hello, my name is Howicus. I noticed that this article is very long, and deals with several unrelated sites. I think it would be better to split this article into multiple smaller articles. The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. —Preceding undated comment added 17:18, 24 February 2013 (UTC) Archaeology of Kosovo photosIt is possible for a Wikimedia Commons administrator to un-delete the images, so it wouldn't be necessary to re-upload anything if and once this is sorted. -- KTC (talk) 23:11, 6 March 2013 (UTC) Late Antiquity and Medieval Sites in Kosovo
These are the names of the said places. You are just transliterating them in Albanian. You've provided a brochure containing state propaganda. That is not the way Wikipedia is edited. Now, stop vandalizing the article, please. Perunova straža (talk) 07:27, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
NerodimljeHere I pointed to the WP:COMMONNAME policy and provided links which prove that Nerodimlje is the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources. Please don't continue to replace English common names with Albanian because it is against wikipedia policy.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 02:16, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Copyright violations, replacing English names with Albanian, edit warring
NamesAs i see that several users already talked about it, i will not repeat the same thing. I cane here to tell you not to use Albanian names, as this is not Albanian wikipedia. You must use names of other wiki articles, as that are wiki guidelines. I may imagine that they dont want anything else then Albanian, but that is violation of wiki rules. Please, don't use Albanian names anymore. --WhiteWriterspeaks 12:28, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Violation of Wikipedia policiesYou maybe not be a new user, but since you've been absent for some time, I kindly ask you to revisit WP:COMMONAME and WP:NPOV. In my opinion, when you reread these policies you'll understand why edits you've recently made are violations of said policies. It might be prudent to brush up on other Wikipedia policies also, such as those concerning copyright violation. Perunova straža (talk) 10:33, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
I've asked you kindly to reread WP:COMMONAME and WP:NPOV. You've chosen to ignore it. If you contiue with disruptive editing admin attention to your actions will be called. You've been warned repeatedly by a number of user not to violate Wikipedia policies. Since you are not a new user, leniency is something you should not expect. I undid your cut and paste page move
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add Copyright problemHi Atdheu! The problem I'm referring to happened so long ago you may not remember and you've probably learned better already. But in 2013 when you began Copper, Bronze and Iron Age sites in Kosovo you included text from a research paper that was cut and pasted. I don't think for a second you were trying to steal because you did cite the source, but we still have to write in our own words and back up what we say with sources. You probably already know by now this so I'm embarrassed to bring it up but I had to because... you never know. But thank you for creating the article! Wikipedia needs articles on the deep history of eastern Europe. We don't get taught that in school, but it's so influential on our lives, even in the United States. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 06:06, 18 June 2025 (UTC) Speedy deletion nomination of Çifllak (archaeological site)![]()
A tag has been placed on Çifllak (archaeological site) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.mkrs-ks.org/repository/docs/drafti_i_guides_-anglisht_final.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
