About recents reverts of my recent edit to the "Black Desert Online" article

Would be referencing a YouTube video (incl. timestamps) from the official channel for this game count as the source?

Sincerely, 79.191.87.190 (talk) 12:57, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

@79.191.87.190: Yes, YouTube can be used as a source on Wikipedia, but only in specific situations. As explained in Wikipedia:Reliable source examples, YouTube is generally not considered reliable because anyone can upload content, but it may be acceptable if the video comes from an official or verified channel and the material is authentic and not a copyright issue. Wikipedia:Video links also notes that there is no complete ban on citing YouTube, but each video must be carefully checked for reliability and copyright compliance. When used, the correct template such as Template:cite AV media should be applied, and a timestamp should be included to show exactly where the information appears. YouTube may serve for simple, factual details, but published secondary sources remain the preferred option. - Arcrev1 (talk) 13:29, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
