Igor KorolevPlease stop reverting to incorrect information. True, he did obtain Canadian citizenship, but that wasn't until 2000 or 2001. He never played played for Canada, only for USSR/Russia. Just for that fact alone, he should be referred as to Soviet/Russian. It's like calling Jim Belushi an Albanian just because his ancestors were from that country and he had an honourary Albanian citizenship. Norum 07:23, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

The "Rebuilding the team" section of the 2011–12 Lokomotiv Yaroslavl season article states that "Its participation in the playoffs will be dependent on its winning percentage compared to other teams at the end of the season." Does this mean that they are not necessarily guaranteed a playoff spot? Please clarify. Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 11:03, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

I was really interested in the Rangers/Bruins series that year, because that was the first time in history that a team forced a Gave seven after being down 0-3. Also, Boston's Mel Hill scored a record three OT goals that series. I'm sure you know this. I was just wondering if a 1939 playoffs article should be made, and also if there are any good reading materials regarding that series in particular you may be aware of, or the playoffs in general. Also, I really like this picture here on eBay, and I think it would make a great addition to that article, but I'm not sure how to properly source it. Jmj713 (talk) 20:45, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

The media file you uploaded as File:Stanley Cup Series Is Off.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image. It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer. Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

Commensurability of CPIsDid you check to ensure that Bank of Canada and Statistics Canada use identical data collection methods and methodologies for monthly CPIs? If so, then an 11 month average is provisionally acceptable, if not, I'd suggest self-reverting on grounds of OR. Fifelfoo (talk) 04:49, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Friedengeber (talk) 20:24, 6 February 2012 (UTC) HHOF datesI noticed that myself when I was writing the Art Ross article. All the newspapers of the time kept saying he was inducted in 1949, which goes against everything from today. I even emailed the HHOF and got a reply from Phil Pritchard. He gave a really confusing answer that essentially said they were inducted into the International Hockey Hall of Fame, and when the HHOF was made in 1960 they backdated the inductions of those 12 players. It didn't make much sense, so I just left it as it was and kept the 1945 date. Good to see that someone else was willing to further press the HHOF about the issue and get a proper resolution to it all. Kaiser matias (talk) 00:07, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

1938 Euro tourHey, I know I asked you in the past about 1938 Detroit Red Wings – Montreal Canadiens European tour but I was just thinking about this article again, and wanting to do the 1959 tour article one of these days, but in all my research I wasn't able to find any roster tables or final stats or anything of the sort. I know you do great research and have rare literature, so I was just wondering if you could add a roster/stats table, just GP, G, A, stuff like that. If it's even possible, that is. Jmj713 (talk) 20:03, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
AnaheimThey are not mathematically eliminated yet as they can still tie for 8th (based on research; see Talk:2011–12 NHL season); they can (likely will not, but can) still get 87 points and the other teams in 7th and below could all lose them all (with exception of an upcoming Wednesday matchup between two of them which one must win, and I haven't looked for others for simplicity). I have removed your elimination of Anaheim thus. Another editor has explained this before you marked them eliminated (someone else marked them too). CycloneGU (talk) 18:59, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

This prompted me again to browse through Google News for the time period, once again in vain. Seems like what newspapers there are for early 1886, they're mostly a jumbled mess. But hockey was still apparently being played, despite the smallpox, and we don't really have any info, which is unfortunate. I'm really curious what was happening then. There really should be an article on the early history of ice hockey with year by year accounts, up to the foundation of the AHAC, since that's when our AHAC season articles begin. An article contradicted by multiple other articles and books? I was shocked to see that the Wikipedia Vezina article indicated that the sets criteria changed in 1946 - I have read numerous articles on the subject from the 1930s that indicate the Trophy was awarded exactly like the HHOF says it was. Penguins trades/signingsI reverted your edits as per the disscussion here, the general feeling was that any transactions after the Cup Finals should be listed in the next team season. Your own thoughts were in the same direction. All transactions I reverted occured before the awarding of the Stanley Cup. I would be more than happy to discuss different opinions about when the season actually starts further on the discussion page for the wikiproject as I personally feel the new season should not start until the first pick of the next year's draft. -♣ B2project ♣ 03:56, 23 June 2012 (UTC) Please comment on Talk:Uno (card game)Greetings! I know this would be outside your normal editing, and probably outside your interests even, but as you have access to HighBeam, I was hoping you could pull some articles for me on the background of Stephen King's much-publicized (though now mostly inaccessible) exit from his publisher Viking to sign with Simon & Schuster (Scribner) during 1996–97, prior to his 1998 novel Bag of Bones. I started a very bare-bones (pun intended) Background section there, and you can see some of the sources I've been able to find, but most articles I seem to be finding cover just the initial deal or as part of the novel's review. What I'd really like to access is that 1996–97 time period between Viking and S&S. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Jmj713 (talk) 18:47, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

I din't find anything that when into great detail about the ankle being broken but I found several references that state it did. Here a couple of books from a Google books search, though neither of them is specifically on the series.
http://books.google.com/books?id=N9S5cptJZ30C&pg=PA253&lpg=PA253&dq=bobby+clarke+summit+series+slash+Kharlamov+broken&source=bl&ots=pNYsyxNFQu&sig=CtDLHWOQlMJb86R7x6ZDs5Tkf-I&hl=en&sa=X&ei=jgEgUO-wLOO36wHAwYDgBw&ved=0CEEQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=bobby%20clarke%20summit%20series%20slash%20Kharlamov%20broken&f=false I also found some newspaper articles mentioning it though high beam (don't know if you have access so I copied the quotes about it from the aticles), but again stating it in hind sight years later Winnipeg Free Press: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P3-1556751071.html - "Clarke slashed just about anyone he ever played against but his most well-known work came in the 1972 Summit Series when he gave Valeri Kharlamov a two-hander that broke the Russian's ankle." Rocky Mountain News (Denver, CO): http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-67614911.html - "Clarke was one of the greatest and most vicious players ever to play the game. In the 1972 Summit Series, he intentionally broke Russian star Valeri Kharlamov's ankle with a horrible two-handed slash. " The Boston Herald: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-91894504.html - " Paul Henderson, who scored the game-winning goal with 34 seconds left in the final game of the series, recently took shots at former linemate Bobby Clarke for the latter's slash on Valeri Kharlamov in Game 6 that broke the Russian's ankle. Henderson said it was not only unsportsmanlike, but typical of the way the former Flyer played and the team he's put together in Philadelphia as general manager. " AP Online: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-114987798.html - "He also is remembered as the victim of Canadian player Bobby Clarke's slash that broke the speedy Soviet star's ankle in the 1972 Summit Series." I know I have a book that talks about the Summit Series so I'll have to look to see if it says anything in there but I hope this helps. Cheers--Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 18:03, 6 August 2012 (UTC) Yes it does - I sourced it properly and it's also linked on google books if you search the page reference. "And when Bobby Clarke gave a two-handed slash to the Soviets Valeri Kharlamov in the 1972 Summit Series that pitted Canada against Russia, was that intentional injury cheating—or the spoils of war?" - HonestopL 22:16, 6 August 2012 (UTC) Interesting article, have you seen it? Perhaps something else to add to the articles (unless it's already there and I missed it). I'd like to revert it back from the title he/she chose "Maple Leafs–Senators rivalry". I was wondering if you had the know-how on how to revert page moves. I can't believe I never noticed that there were three articles for this one guy. I watch North Western Ontario players pretty closely, especially ones from Thunder Bay. Not overly surprised that Patken created that many though, he usually just creates from databases and I have noticed him create doubles a few times. -DJSasso (talk) 17:14, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Godzilla posterSince you uploaded a new poster, I removed the old one from the article. Not as part of my continuing deletionist rampage, but because we really can't justify two posters for an unreleased movie, when there is only one other poster for the 29 released films. Maybe you can just keep the old poster instead, it's certainly more interesting, the new one is basically just a headline. Barsoomian (talk) 04:41, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

I am interested to know the full names of the the players who took part in this game, do you know where I can find as I have had no luck searching on the web? GoodDay (talk) 18:08, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
I'd recommend you divide your proposal into 2 proposals. 1) A proposal for the NHL team roster templates, which concerns 'only' the WP:HOCKEY and 2) a proposal for NHL player bio infoboxes, which concerns WP:HOCKEY, WP:BIOG & WP:BLP. GoodDay (talk) 23:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC) As you can see at WP:HOCKEY, there's 2 editors determined to avoid using Soviet Union or USSR as Komarov's birthplace. GoodDay (talk) 00:43, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
I can't see why Narva, Soviet Union (now Estonia) would be a problem. :) GoodDay (talk) 09:01, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
I'm hoping to direct the discussion towards the BLP Noticeboard. I already left a message at the Biography WikiProject (days ago), concerning Leo Komarov. The discussion is just going in circles at WP:HOCKEY. GoodDay (talk) 20:02, 7 February 2013 (UTC) Recent activitiesYou're not helping matters, by implimenting your (then USSR) proposal across articles. I wish you'd stop. By my count at least three users (I was one of the other anon accounts and didn't even see the previous edits until now, there's you, and there's at least one other anon) have added this independently. However, each time the same Ottawa Senators fan policing the page has reverted. Please refer to the talk page and if you are so inclined support the addition of this information. 75.103.11.162 (talk) 22:32, 8 March 2013 (UTC) Don RiverHi, noticed your edits on the Don River article. Very good so far but I just corrected the extent of flooding on the Don during Hurricane Hazel. The extent of the flooding you quoted, ie. east to Leslie and west to Bay (prior to construction of the FPL berm on the West Don Lands) was actually the area of the regulatory floodplain. This floodplain was theorized from water flow models that projected the extent of flooding as if the amount of water that fell on the Humber had hit the Don instead. In reality substantially less water fell on the Don during Hazel. This caused some flooding but not so much that it impacted people outside the valley proper. I re-opened it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Reviving_Eurohockey.net_discussion . . . because I have some information about the site--namely that it's inactive. I think that's evident from visiting it and seeing that the latest updates were in March 2011. I know the creators of the site and they no longer have anything to do with it. They now operate Eurohockey.com, its successor site, which I mention in the re-opened discussion. Just thought I'd let you know. Cheers. Djob (talk) 16:40, 19 April 2013 (UTC) Barnstar

Canterbury Tail talk 01:05, 24 April 2013 (UTC) your opinionn please...In this section of Talk:Rob Ford I voiced my concerns over RedPenOfDoom excising this passage twice. You moved the paragraph on his "orientals" comment to the section on Ford's career as a councilor. Do you have any objection to me adding that passage RedPenOfDom kept excising back to that paragraph, at the spot you relocated it to? Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 18:12, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Exemplary workI am going to repeat myself -- you did exemplary work on the Rob Ford article. And it was admirable that you kept your cool in the face of some nasty implied criticism. Congratulations! Geo Swan (talk) 19:15, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
