I'd like to ask you a few questions about your interactions with newcomers and to check how WP:Snuggle has been working for you. The interview and demo session will take 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much time we spend discussing things. If you're interested, let me know. Hi Addshore,
I'm confused with that data in wikipedia showpage is different from data in source code. For example, Gosen-Neu_Zittau.
The population on show page is 2,991 (31 December 2012), while source code is "|Einwohner = 2738 |Stand = 2006-06-30". And I can't get any information about “2,991” or “31 December 2012” in source code.
Thanks in advance! Krin —Preceding undated comment added 08:16, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello,
As you were last person to modify the page, we have a few suggestions:
It would be preferable if the Czech version could be entitled "Evropský veřejný ochránce práv (Evropský ombudsman)". Currently, it is entitled "Evropský ombudsman" which is not the term used by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the Statute of the European Ombudsman.
Moreover, the 2003 statistics could be replaced by more recent ones available on the Ombudsman's webpage. In particular, in 2012, the most frequent categories of complaints (on the basis of inquiries closed) were equally transparence (access to documents and information requests) and the Commission as guardian of the Treaties (see the latest annual report : http://www.ombudsman.europa.eu/en/activities/home.faces). Ingaingute (talk) 09:23, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
I have a few suggestions for the Slovenian version of the European Ombudsman:
The Slovak version erroneously mentions that the European Ombudsman was created in 1992. Although the Treaty of Maastricht was in fact signed in 1992, and came into force in 1993, it would be more accurate to mention that the office was actually established only in 1995 when the first European Ombudsman was elected.
Moreover, it would be preferable if it could clearly state that complaints to the Ombudsman can be submitted by "any citizen of the Union or any natural or legal person residing or having his registered office in a Member State of the Union". The current version is confusing and does not mention citizens.
It further states that the Ombudsman carries out his activities "quite independently". It is not clear why the word "quite" is used.
In addition, the Ombudsman is "elected" by the European Parliament, not "appointed" (see Article 228 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union).
The correct spelling of the name of the first Ombudsman is "Jacob Söderman" (one "n").
It is further suggested to refer to "irregularities" rather than "incorectness" in the activities of EU institutions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ingaingute (talk • contribs) 09:27, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

As a bureaucrat on frwiki, I was checking the activity of the bots, and noticed that yours had been inactive for at least 6 months. It is not reasonable that an unmonitored account keeps a bot flag, as it may be more easily hacked. Do you wish to keep the bot flag? If this is the case, please tell me so (preferably on my talk page on frwiki, otherwise on my talk page on this project). Without any answer from you, the bot flag will be removed in one month.

Dear Addshore,
I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.
As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.
Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.
The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.
Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.
In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.
Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the SUL finalisation, read over the Help:Unified login page on Meta and leave a note on the talk page there, or on the talk page for global renamers. You can also contact me on my talk page on meta if you would like. I'm working as a bridge between Wikimedia Foundation Engineering and Product Development, Wikimedia Stewards, and you to assure that SUL finalisation goes as smoothly as possible; this is a community-driven process and I encourage you to work with the Stewards for our communities.
Thank you for your time. -- Keegan (WMF) talk 18:24, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi I've been advised to contact about the following - My Request for the undeletion of Sarah J Price - Welsh Playwright, film maker, TV, Film and West End actor, musician, reality star, sports journalist, comedy writer and stand up performer,(Edinburgh festival, NYC Comedy club) and regular international radio and TV guest. the page was originally merged with two other Sarah Price's in an act of vandalism, the swimmer was separated, but the two 'film' Sarah Price's remained as one, (proof of this vandalism still exists on the page Price under notable Price's the second Sarah Price links to the American film maker Sarah Price, however the information in that section all, but date of birth is in fact Sarah J Price) My attempt to get the page back up and running on its own was removed, the main reasons given for its deletion being; aside from some general confusion some of which I suspect was by the vandal, lack of any reliable evidence - one link was to an article which included a photograph of Ms Price on the West End stage as Frenchie in the musical Grease, and "I found lots of Sarah Prices, but not this one" the problem being because of Ms Price's varied career a fair few of the 'lots of Sarah Price's' were indeed her, she has also worked under several stage names, and both with and without the J since she began her career in early childhood. in light of her recent output as an actor and as a sport journalist in the USA and for France's Canal+ Tv channel I feel the page now merits being reinstated and updated -Thanks Jasperxj (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 02:28, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jeff Kent (author), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Recorder. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Since Kudpung doesn't want it there, I'm posting the list here: User:Kudpung/RfA criteria#The questions Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:21, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
Asking admin candidates about being open to recall has been found to be unhelpful and decisive. Please don't do it. Thanks. Hipocrite (talk) 16:08, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello Addshore Two years ago, the above article was deleted, primarily because of a lack of independent references. I've finally found the time to seek out such references and have now inserted many of them in the article, which you kindly stored for me to work on. I'd now like to have it put up for scrutiny, to see if it can be reinstated. Is that something that you would do from your end or do I need to submit it in some way? (I'm unsure of the actual resubmission procedure.) Thanks. SnoobysooSnoobysoo (talk) 17:52, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello, this is user Alchavers21. I was looking to get involved with the Classic Greece and Rome project for a class I am taking on Wikipedia. Since it looks like you have been active recently I was wondering how to get involved/which areas you feel need the most attention or edits/ideas for new articles or any areas that require the most revision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alchavers21 (talk • contribs) 20:49, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Hello, I live in the United States and my fathers grandparents families were both from the Weidenau area of Siegen. I have an extensive history book on the Hoffman and Hermann families. However, I have been unable to track down anyone currently living there. My great Grandmother was 1 of 8 kids and the only one to leave Germany for the U.S.. I jnow I have many cousins there snd was wondering if Siegen University has a professor or knows of someone who can help me track down our relatives.
Regards,

Hi. After migratingiw links to wikidata, there are many pages that still are https://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9F%D0%BE%D1%81%D0%B5%D0%B1%D0%BD%D0%BE:UnconnectedPages not connected (e.g. [3]) Can something be done except manually connecting to wikidata? -- Bojan Talk 03:14, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
But the songwriting talents of keyboardist Mike Kameron (who is also secretly responsible for the vocals here, rather than stated singer Sean Farber) achieves even greater distinction on somewhat slower, more diverse explorations such as "Cosmic Forge,"

I am experiencing problems unifying my Wikipedia accounts. I was able to sign in my French Wikipedia account probably where I first made my account on the 10th of January 2006. I clicked on the global account to try to unify my accounts.
It stated that I have two other accounts one on en.wikipedia.org and one on en.wikisource.org when I enter the same passwords as for my French wikipedia accounts it says that the password is incorrect and when I try to recover the password via email I get nothing in my inbox (and junk).
Is it possible that I created the accounts back when Wikipedia did not require an email address? I am trying to unite my accounts so that I can contribute to both Wikipedias. I did not create a new account on this wikipedia in hope that I could unite my accounts. I think my IP address is dynamic and not static so it may change upon my next modification of this text. I could leave my e-mail address but if it is possible for bureaucrats to contact me on it.
Anyways the email address linked to my French wikipedia account is [email protected]
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi...I'm appreciate the way you edited the crab articles in Wikipedia. But, as my opinion it is good to make a separate article to each species. One example is species within the genus Oziotelphusa. The species within this genus are redirected to the genus itself. So, it is good to make separate articles to such species, because it will make the users very easy to study them. Because there are many references and publications about those species..
Thank You.. (User Talk:talk)

Hello from Georgian Wikipedia, first of all I want to thank you that your Acebot is working so well, and contributing to this page of Georgian Wikipedia. Now about my offer. As I found out your bot also updates statistics of the |RU Wikipedia's page — List of Wikipedias and I thought that it will be good if your bot also starts updating of the same page of Georgian Wikipedia (that page is in very bad condition :/). I will be waiting for your response, if you decide be sure I will help in everything that you will need. Thanks.--g. balaxaZe★ 07:41, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
