Please appeal my block I won't do that again I request an unblock. Welcome to Wikipedia!Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for fighting against vandalism. May I suggest creating an account? Either way, you really don't need to reply to vandals on their talk page when they are only messing with you. Best thing is to just ignore them and if needed, reporting them to WP:AIV. win8x (talking | spying) 19:59, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Just to clarify (I'm not the same editor as 98.235), but I've helped out at AIV too, so I thought I might chime in here as well. The only time I've ever removed blocked users from AIV is if I've reported them myself. Users that other people report can and should be handled by the admins/bot. The issue is generally that the bot is often really slow at moving these reports (sometimes it takes 10 to 15 minutes when the bot is slowed or down). When AIV gets really clogged up, it can be annoying to see those reports that have already been dealt with at the top of the noticeboard, making the more current reports less visible. With school starting up again, IP vandalism is going to be more and more problematic and AIV will probably start to get busier overtime. I think the solution is to have more admins readily available to keep an eye on this, and remove the reports manually (if the bot is slowed or down) until the bot can be updated to keep up with the blocks as they occur. 71.59.186.230 (talk) 04:56, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Assassination of Umar (644)Hello 98.235.155.81, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Assassination of Umar (644), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. CoconutOctopus talk 11:42, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topicsYou have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project. Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. — Newslinger talk 22:10, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
Hi IP, first thanks for correcting my typo/error. I did revert your removal of the legal threat as it should remain so it's easily accessible. Otherwise, the block does not make sense. S0091 (talk) 17:17, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
Close revertedI'm just letting you know that I reverted this close because I raised some issues regarding the user continuing to be disruptive after the block ends.
