I couldn't find a "merge template" template, so I listed both templates for deletion although I think only one should be deleted. I'm taking out the "Ultimate Sitcom" link on the grounds that it is UK-specific. If you look at the list, it is overwhelmingly dominated by UK comedy shows. Also only shows that have been broadcast in the UK on the list. Also, the "industry insiders" who judged the shows are overwhelmingly from the UK. This is not a useful list for showing Seinfeld's status... except for the UK specifically and only. "The Ultimate Sitcom" is just the title of another cheap-to-make "list of the best"/excuse-for-clips TV show.. it's not actually the "ultimate" authority on anything... Shouldn't George Steinbrenner link to George Steinbrenner (Seinfeld character) or something, as we're talking about Seinfeld characters here, not real people. And the George Steinbrenner article really has nothing on Seinfeld...Stevage 12:43, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone explain the criteria for links to go in this template? Someone added Kenny Kramer, who is not directly a part of the show, while someone else removed Summer of George. It doesn't seem real logical to me. — InkQuill 18:18, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tom's Restaurant is used as a subsection, not as a stand alone listing. The entire sign was used in early episodes, so the name 'Tom's Restaurant' does appear in the series (later changed to Monk's, which has the main page on the template). Tom's is shown in almost every episode of the series, so would hold interest to Seinfeld fans, and its appearance in Seinfeld is prominent in the lead of its article. Maybe this isn't an exact guideline fit, but seems like a good exception. Show a photo of the restaurant to just about anyone in the U.S. and their only point of reference (unlike something like the White House or other buildings) is Seinfeld. Whether or not it's a subsection (or main heading, or group heading or whatever) is irrelevant, the link is still visible in the navbox and the same rule should apply. Linking to the ficitionalised version is sufficient. We link to the song "Tom's Diner" in the {{Suzanne Vega}} navbox, not the restaurant the song was about... --Rob Sinden (talk) 13:20, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
