Rail-interchange is a protected template but if you ask for edits such as in relation to the S-Bahn Mittelelbe nothing happens. Merging other templates into would not be useful.--Grahame (talk) 04:05, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
@Paine Ellsworth: The line | b | bt | batong ={{RouteBox|Ba Tong|{Ba Tong line}|#bt}} needs to be changed to | b | bt | batong | ba tong ={{RouteBox|Ba Tong|{Ba Tong line}|#bt}} so that the new name will work as an argument… AlgaeGraphix (talk) 12:36, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

The line | t1 | karşıyakatram = should also have karsiyakatram (with English letters) included as an alias. AlgaeGraphix (talk) 12:54, 7 June 2020 (UTC)@Paine Ellsworth:
Why was the request of 20:08, 6 June 2020 (UTC) put live without being tested first? Using the sandbox allows testing and amendment, without putting 28,000+ pages into the job queue each time. It also avoids putting code blobs into the talk page. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:14, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
Some links must be corrected, like Greater Jakarta LRT, Jakarta LRT, Jakarta MRT and also KRL Commuterline. See sandbox diff [3].
OktaRama2010 (talk) 04:52, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
Can we implement the changes here (sandbox link)? The proposed TTC Sheppard East LRT and Jane LRT lines were never officially designated "Line 7" and "Line 8" and both have now been, at least for the time being, taken out of active development. This change reverts them to previous icons that use initials, as is the case with other non-shovel-in-the-ground projects in Toronto (e.g. for Scarborough Malvern LRT), so they can still be used in routemaps that list potential future states.
Hi Mdaniels5757, sorry no - I should have said I looked but nothing obvious. I don't know the topic I just noticed because it was causing ~70 issues to be flagged on CAT:MISSFILE (looks like someone has been removing the use of the template as it's reduced). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:25, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Added new entry with key au-wa for Western Australian regional line. Also added new elements under the existing perth entry. Please see diff here. Thanks. – McVahl (talk) 07:47, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
My edit removes duplicated city interchanges within country. These were defined outside anyway, and repeated exactly within the country. We don't do this with any other country, and it isn't practice to nest cities under their countries. Most weren't being used anyway, but I've changed the few usages there were to their city equivalents, so none of these are currently in use. I can update the docs upon merge to live.
Changes default size for Leeds metro, leeds, from 20px to 11px, in line with other brand icons. Current default is not too useful (see Template:Rail-interchange/doc/UK).
Hello, could the lines for the Jinan Metro please be added to this template? I have linked to lines 1, 4, and 6 on Zhengzhou–Jinan high-speed railway, but 6 is still under construction so I'm not sure if that should be added to this template yet.
Following rename of line articles on Talk:MRT Line 3 (Metro Manila), should link to the new line article titles. Can better use logos instead of text (except for MRT-3, until logo without text is made available). Metro Manila Subway should be simply referred to as MMS.

The full transition isn't complete, so the redirects are intended as placeholders until proper articles are created (when there is enough sources to support them). Lines N and S now redirect to their respective sections in the Sounder article. SounderBruce23:30, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi ProcrastinatingReader I just noticed it via errors flagged on CAT:MISSFILE so I don't know if that is similar. I would suggest removing it until someone suggests a valid replacement. However if you, or someone else thinks a suitable generic is better that's fine with me. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:44, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
You can always crop it yourself (in accordance with branding guidelines, if applicable), or upload a logo-only copy yourself. There's also free use rationale to consider, if it applies you could reupload at enwiki. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 15:18, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
Not done: This is not the actual symbol used by Brightline for their service. The change you're proposing is their website tab icon. It's one thing to have "small" icons, but we need to be using the icons the service actually uses on the stations. From what I've seen from the articles related to this rail service it uses the full-name as its iconography. If that is not true, please provide evidence to the contrary. Primefac (talk) 13:12, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
@Primefac: I don't see the difference between this and what we do for Amtrak. The full Amtrak logo includes the name, but we only use the "wave" for a symbol. Similarly, both when the service was known as Virgin Trains USA, and for the former UK-based Virgin Trains, only the Virgin symbol was used, not the entire logo. – Jadebenn (talk·contribs·subpages) 22:55, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
That's kind of my point, though; you're not using the "Brightline symbol," you're using the icon they've set for their website. If that is their "symbol" then we can add it, otherwise no. Primefac (talk) 23:19, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
@Primefac: What level of usage would be appropriate? I've seen this shortened version used in some safety materials, but I will admit it's absent from rolling stock or stations as far as I've been able to see. – Jadebenn (talk·contribs·subpages) 10:16, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Montreal bus icons are several years outdated by now and use symbols and bus categories retired by the STM back in ~2016. The new icons are visible on the agency website, and I've vectorized them for Wikipedia.
The second argument for the pery adds a text link: Pacific Electricperc , which seems to be an irregular use of arguments for calling up title links. For instance: it breaks compatibility while using the |symbol= parameter in Template:infobox station, such that the symbol can't be placed without text in the infobox. I feel like it should be made to act like other rint icons without any text able to be generated by this template, or at least fixed to operate differently than at present. -MJDestroyerOfWorlds (talk) 20:06, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
I didn't allude to a "standard". I'm saying that I can't find another one that behaves like this (i guess it's not "standard" in that regard, but as there's not a formal standard none are), and the way it is now doesn't work with some of the stuff that was designed to take advantage of it. -MJDestroyerOfWorlds (talk) 16:52, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Template-protected edit request on 24 October 2020
BOO109, you should change the template's sandbox first to make sure it works properly, and then request the main page be updated to match. On an unrelated note, please change your signature so there is at least some indication of who you are (and please don't imply that your talk page is the "Help Desk"). Primefac (talk) 13:29, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Due to the change from s-line templates to Module:Adjacent stations a number of changes are required to the Melbourne Australia section of Template:Rail-Interchange.
Sandbox - changes made in two consecutive changes see [6]
Is there a substantive difference (other than the size) of the two outputs? Seems somewhat unnecessary to replace text in a box with an image of text in a box. Primefac (talk) 16:49, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay. Besides the size, another difference is the font of the numbers. The images are the official Sao Paulo Metro visual communication. Also, all of the other lines have images this same model. Jvalienforce (talk) 00:05, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Primefac: My bad. I did sandbox them first, but for some reason the issue did not appear in testcases. It turned out to be just an extra vertical bar. The minor modifications I was referring to were replacements of .png icons with .svg icons. Everything is working properly now. --WMSR (talk) 01:47, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Hey there, could you please review this change, as the Flinders line in Adelaide has begun operation. Testcases are here and sandbox diffs are here and here (sorry I had to make 2 edits). The reason for why Tonsley already has a colour is because it has been assigned a default colour as per Template:Adelaide color and I plan to change it to the correct colour ASAP, which is the same colour as the Flinders line orange. Tonsley is being kept because it was the original form of the Flinders line and it may need to be referred to that instead of Flinders for certain purposes. Thanks, Fork99 (talk) 07:05, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi, please help add this line of code | srt = to the source under existing | ktx = code.
The line of code that I'm requesting to add is simply an parallel KTX service operated by Supreme Railways instead of Korail hence the different logo. Thanks you. – Paper9oll(📣 • 📝)14:00, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

@Redrose64: Hi, sorry about that as this is my first time requesting to edit template, here is the sandbox and testcase. Testcase didn't show anything abnormal for point 2 that links to sandbox version, it displayed the result as intended. ~ Paper9oll(📣 • 📝)04:10, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
This request is same as previous request, just that there is changes to link. As SRT is a train service operated by SR, instead of Korail. I should be linking be it to Super Rapid Train instead of Korail's Korea Train Express service. However, due to confusion, I linked the wrong article. This is the sandbox and this is the testcase. Sorry about that and thanks in advance. —Paper9oll(📣 • 📝)15:56, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
Plan for template-protected edit request for Paris
In light of the publication of the new Paris Metro map (source), I wish to ask if anyone would be interested in an update to the RER and Tramway line icons?
Change of an icon from .jpg to .svg (File:KMRC Logo.jpg to File:Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Logo.svg) Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe15:34, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Done. Few minor points, if you're changing anything (specifically referring to the B logo change) it should be testcased, and you put "implemented" for the test cases before it was implemented (not a huge deal, just potentially confusing). Primefac (talk) 15:20, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Please replace:
| shoreline =
With:
| shoreline =
Despite the naming of the files, the icon used for the Hartford Line is actually the new logo for all commuter rail overseen by the Connecticut DOT as part of the new CTrail branding. The one currently marked as the Shore Line East logo is the older "Connecticut Commuter Rail" branding and is no longer current for SLE, as seen in the SLE article and the official website. Using the older logo for SLE to distinguish from the Hartford Line using the current logo is incorrect, as the new logo applies to both lines.
That said, it may behoove us to use abbreviations alongside (or instead of) the logo to distinguish, as is done with other multi-line systems like NJ Transit. oknazevad (talk) 11:54, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Île-de-France Mobilités and the RATP are rolling out changes to the design of numerous transit icons in the Paris region. On 10 April 2021, Line 9 of the Paris tram system opened with new icons.
This edit request covers the region’s tramway system, which replaces with . There are also minor optimisations to the switches for Transilien lines.
Test cases, source code and evidence of the rollout are available here. Let me know if you would like me to propose a legacy version, as I have done with the Helvetica variants of the New York Subway icons. --Minoa (talk) 19:56, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

because the {size} parameter was omitted when this section was added. Does a change this minor need to be proven at testcases? AlgaeGraphix (talk) 18:30, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Minoa, which change am I supposed to be looking at? The May 17 changes appear to be a no-op; the icons all look the same. The May 11 changes look different, but the testcase heading says they were implemented. I'm confused. Mackensen(talk)13:23, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Mackensen, Oh no, somebody raked the sandbox with the old version of the transit icons! The file name format for the Métro line icons have changed from Paris m # jms.svg to Paris transit icons - Métro #.svg. That is why I had to run each line to show that the new file names work. I will provide a revised test cases section without the hairline tests here. --Minoa (talk) 04:08, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
I confirm the purpose of the request. I decided to leave File:Metro-M.svg in its old colour as a matter of historical fact, if you know what I mean. I should have been clearer earlier. Sorry about that. --Minoa (talk) 07:06, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

I've added Xuzhou again, here, last time the change was accepted but reverted due to a non-free image. The change can still work without the logo, which is what I've done now. The testcase is still there from the previous edit request at Template:Rail-interchange/testcases. Thanks again NemesisAT (talk) 20:42, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello, yes it was but purely because other Chinese HSR articles have used "metro" to display the icon of the system so this will mean the template displays nothing instead of an error. Maybe it would be better to display the error? An example article is Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. NemesisAT (talk) 19:30, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
My brain isn't really switched on today, but I feel like if an image doesn't exist, we shouldn't be trying to call that image (i.e. it should give an error if you're trying to link to something that doesn't exist). I might be wrong on that front, though. Primefac (talk) 11:57, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

You have provided no satisfactory response to Redrose64's concern about the copyright status of the logo (the use of the term "public" in "public transportation" is irreleveant). Also, it's unreasonable to expect your request to be handled within two days. * Pppery *it has begun...15:46, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
For what it's worth, my edits should not be seen as endorsing the uncopyrightability of the logo. I at first tagged it as a copyvio, then realized that tagging wasn't appropriate because of the Commons village pump discussion in which someone else thought it was uncopyrightable, and then decided that, assuming it was too simple, PD-textlogo was a more appropriate tag than PD-simple and switched to that tag. * Pppery *it has begun...15:21, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Note for anyone else, my edit summary was incorrect, and there were actually ~15 articles using the moved icon (I forgot line codes were case-insensitive when searching).
