Template talk:ENSO events

The 1998-2001 La niña should appear here

I think the 1998-2001 La niña event, should appear in this template because was similar to the 2020-2023 event in duration and was stronger than the 2020-2023 event. In my country, Panama 1999 was the third wettest year ever according to the Panama Canal Hidrology Dashboard data and December 1999 was the second wettest ever after December 2010, 2000 was less rainy but still in the top 20, and December 31st, 2000 was one of the 12 worst storms and part of one of the 4 wettest day period ever in the Panama canal data. Just to mention the occurrences that La niña event left in my country, I remember those years well, even though I was only 5 or 6. That made a big impression on me., and that's one of the reasons that event should be added to the template. Ivanjaviervillalaz (talk) 20:43, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This template's purpose is to link all the ENSO events that have their own articles, and AFAIK the 1998-2001 La Ninã event doesn't have one. If an article about it is created, then it could be included here. ABC paulista (talk) 21:32, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
