Emilio's

Emilio's was an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles, founded and run by Emilio Baglioni.

History

Emilio Baglioni opened his restaurant in 1968.[1] Before opening Emilio's, Baglioni worked as a chef for Warner Brothers Studios.[2]

Baglioni retired from the restaurant in 1998.[3]

Reception

Baglioni was named "Best Restaurateur" by LA Weekly in 1983 for running Emilio's.[4] Writing for the Los Angeles Times in 1989, Rose Dosti gave Emilio's a positive review for its low prices, while noting that "the roving musicians at Emilio’s are a tradition you simply tolerate".[5] The restaurant guide Epicurean Rendezvous described Emilio's as "one of the top Italian restaurants in Los Angeles", stating that "it has hosted countless celebrities".[6]
