Dylan Lane
Dylan Lane (born July 18, 1977)[1] is an American game show host and television personality best known for hosting the game show Chain Reaction on Game Show Network from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2021 to 2022.[2] CareerPrior to Chain Reaction, Lane was a VJ on Fuse TV from October 2004 to March 2007, having hosted The F-List and co-hosted Daily Download (the latter running from June 1, 2004 to July 1, 2006). Shortly afterwards, Lane was chosen as the new host of Chain Reaction (succeeding Geoff Edwards who hosted the show from 1986 to 1991), which initially aired on Game Show Network from August 1, 2006 to June 9, 2007. During his first run as host of Chain Reaction, he also appeared as Justin Carter on The N's short-lived series What Goes On which starred Ian Nelson. He was also the host of the National Vocabulary Championship, another production of Game Show Network, in 2006 and 2007.[3] On November 2, 2020, it was announced that Chain Reaction would return to Game Show Network, with Lane returning as host. Lane was asked to return as host at the request of Game Show Network, which Lane had initially believed to be a prank before receiving confirmation that the network was in fact reviving the show. The revival aired from February 22, 2021 to June 20, 2022. To date, Lane is the only person to have hosted two versions of Chain Reaction.[4] Personal lifeAlthough Lane was born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, he was raised in nearby Huntingdon. Lane graduated from Huntingdon Area High School (HAHS) in Huntingdon.[5] Following high school, Lane attended Muhlenberg College, majoring in Psychology. He also studied dance and took theatre classes at Muhlenberg.[6] Following his first appearance on Chain Reaction, Lane obtained an engineering degree and went on to work at General Electric.[2][7] Lane met his wife, Nicole, at a wedding Nicole was attending. Lane had crashed the wedding and decided to dance shirtless, attracting Nicole's attention; ultimately, they remained in touch and would get married in 2012.[8] As of 2025, he resides outside of Amsterdam, New York with his wife and two daughters and works as a fleet engineer for General Electric, who Lane stated in an interview gave him a leave of absence in order to film his second run of Chain Reaction.[9] References
