Cutting Edge Haunted House
Cutting Edge Haunted House is a haunted house located in an abandoned meat packing factory in Fort Worth, Texas. Opened in 1991, it utilized original machinery from its days as a meat packing plant as part of its props.[1] Guinness World Records recognised the attraction as "The World's Largest Haunted House" four times,[2] as well as "The World's Largest Walk Through Haunted House".[3] Description Cutting Edge Haunted House was built on the foundation of a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant in a section of Fort Worth that had once been referred to as "Hell's Half Acre".[4] The equipment is still in use as a "two-story human conveyor system".[1] Mannequins are hoisted up to the second level and brought through the entire meat packing process until the conveyor system brings the "butchered corpses" back to the first level.[1] It includes live sets, animations, and dozens of live actors inside and outside the building. The average duration of the experience is 45 to 55 minutes and is a total of around 2,261 feet (689 m) linearly as of 2009.[5] AwardsGuinness World RecordIn 2009 and 2015, Cutting Edge held the Guinness World Record for the "Longest Walk-through Horror House".[6][7][8] Other awards
