Aurai (community development block)
Aurai is a block of Muzaffarpur District, Bihar, India.[1] Its administrative center is the village of Aurai. As of 2011, the block has a total population of 290,545. [2] Aurai is famous for "Huzur Shere Bihar Dargah" of Mufti Muhammad Aslam Rizwi who was great Muslim scholar of Aurai area, This Dargah is situated in Madarsa Road Maksudpur/Halimpur. Aurai is also famous for historical temple "BhairawAsthan Mandir" is situated in bhairawasthan place of aurai. It is very ancient temple ,Before some days of Holi festival there is a very big fair here Named "Bhairawasthan Mela". Aurai is also famous for producing "Shahi Litchi of Muzaffarpur" and "Malda Mango". GeographyAurai is located on the northeast of Muzaffarpur District.
