2018 WAFU Zone B U-20 Tournament
The 2018 WAFU Zone B U-20 Tournament is the first edition of the international Zone B U-20 men's football event for teams under the West African Football Union. The competition was hosted by Togo in December 2018 in One match venues. The organizers of the tournament, said it will run from 6-16 December 2018 which will feature eight teams were drawn in two groups of four. WAFU Zone B member teams were Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria and Benin. Mali (from Zone A) replaced Côte d'Ivoire, who had withdrawn before the tournament. [3] Player eligibilityPlayers born 1 January 1998 or later are eligible to participate in the competition. Group stageThe top two teams of each group advance to the semi-finals.
Teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings.
